RES is exploring the potential for an energy storage system on land close to the proposed Branxton Substation, between Oldhamstocks and Thorntonloch, East Lothian.

Environmental and technical surveys will be completed over the coming months to ensure any impact of the development upon the environment, landscape, heritage and local residents is appropriately assessed and mitigated and to inform a preliminary layout and design.

RES is now at the stage of consulting with the local community to get feedback on our early-stage proposal. The feedback will be taken into account, along with the results of site surveys and assessments, as we refine the design.  For more information, please click here.
